India, since 2005 is a member of Hague convention of 5 October 1961 , that abolished the requirement of legalization of foreign public documents Apostille is acceptable in all member countries of Hague convention .
An apostille documents should be treated as legalized document for all purposes in member countries of Hague convention, in accordance with the international obligation under the convention. That means , for Hague countries there is no need of Embassy attestation after apostille of the country from which the certificate is issued
EMBASSY ATTESTATION
For the countries which are not a member of Hague convention we have to get concerned embassy attestation on our document after mea attestation , then only it will be considered as a valid document .
Embassy attestation is mandatory on your education document to get work visa. Your personal documents such as marriage , birth certificates have to be attested to get a family visa.
